Privacy notice

Who we are

EC Motors (Eamonn Caldwell), 22a Hillview Road, Belfast BT14 7BT. Phone 0759 238 0568. We are responsible for the details you give us through this website.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we get your name, phone number, your message and which car you asked about (if any). That's it. We don't ask for your email, address or bank details on this website.

What we use it for

Only to get back to you about your enquiry, for example to answer your question or arrange a viewing. We don't send marketing, and we never sell or share your details with anyone for their own use. Our legal basis is that you asked us to get in touch (legitimate interests and steps before a contract).

Where it's kept

Enquiries are stored securely by the companies that run this website for us: our database and hosting providers, and our email provider if enquiries are emailed to us. They only store it for us and can't use it for anything else.

When you tap “Send on WhatsApp”, your enquiry is also sent to Eamonn through WhatsApp, which is run by Meta. Your use of WhatsApp is covered by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

How long we keep it

We delete enquiries once they're no longer needed, and at the latest after 12 months, unless you go on to buy a car from us, in which case normal sales records apply.

Cookies

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. The map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps, which may set its own cookies when it loads. See Google's privacy policy.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Just call us on 0759 238 0568. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
